Brief Description:
The consultant will be responsible for supporting clients in optimizing its processes to achieve more efficient and effective results. It consists of process redesign and business reengineering that reduces cost (rework) and cycle times, while improving quality, and operational performance in order to enhance the client or customer experience. This position is committed to continuous improvement through the management of data, the leveraging of technology, and the redesign of processes, leading to the most efficient and effective work processes that are repeatable and sustainable across the organization.
As a member of Merit Consulting team, the Consultant plays an integral role in contributing to the successful execution of client engagements and building the firm's reputation for quality service.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
•   Assesses business challenges and opportunities and recommends best course of corrective, improvement and protective action.
•   Carry out gap analysis and an independent assessment of the effectiveness of organization policies, procedures and standards to assurance that required laws, regulations, policies and procedures are fulfill expected results.
•   Identifies and gathers business process metrics, voice of customer, requirements of business, and requirements of policy and procedure impacts.
•   Utilizes structured, disciplined, and data-oriented process to identify root cause and solve problems.
•   Participates in working sessions to discover and detail the current state business design and capture existing systems and tools.
•   Provide data and support in data collection.
•   Consider risk, time, and cost and assesses its impact from a cost, efficiency, contractual, legal and/or regulatory standpoint.
•   Map business procedures and processes and consider correlating business results.
•   Design required forms.
•   Identify level of authorities.
•   Evaluates, plans, and supervises the implementation of the business process improvements and practices.
•   Leads and/or participates in the redesign and re-engineering of operational processes.
•   Maintains positive working relationships with all team members, stakeholders, client members and subject matter experts from within the organization to understand current state processes.
•   Participate in the drafting of reports and presenting draft to project manager for review and approval.
•   Related projects/work as assigned.

Qualifications:
•   Bachelor or BS degree
•   7-9 years of experience in working with various operations processes highly desired
•   Proven experience in the application of process improvement methodologies
•   Proficiency leading process improvement methodologies such as; Rapid Action Process, Just Do It, Six Sigma, or Kaizen
